I just felt like checking in. The internet is really dead on weekends. You’d think people had lives or something. I check it a lot because I amuse myself on my BlackBerry while I’m at the mall with Max.
Hang in there, Jason Robert Brown, if you haven’t lost interest in our little corner of the [...]

So I was kind of underwhelmed with the Cardinals stadium. At first it was cool. We got in early because of our friends’ fancy “Club Level” seats, and people were walking around with samples of food.
But it was all illusory. We went to this buffet, supposedly the nicest on the level, and it was pathetic. [...]

Today I have the day off. I slept in a little bit, then took Max to school at 8:30. He went galloping happily in. He sure is a happy guy.
Then I headed over to Squaw Peak. I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much at this later hour of the day. TOO HOT! Today it’s supposed [...]

Another morning, another Squaw Peak trip. Let’s make this an addiction.
Oh, and let’s also quit pigging out on gummy bears at night. Just because we are hiking doesn’t mean it’s cool to be doing that.
This morning was a pretty good day at the mountain. One guy passed me. I hate when people pass me, it’s [...]

I did Squaw Peak again this morning. I think I’ll start doing it regularly.
This morning I left the house at 5:30, and the sun was just coming up. It was lovely. I had made my coffee the night before, so I didn’t have to stop at Starbucks. Way too expensive to do that every time. [...]

So I had just discovered the joy of doing Squaw Peak in the early morning, and I really wanted to do it again this morning. But when I woke up I just felt too crappy from this stupid cold so I didn’t go. Bummer because I suspect that this can really be a lift for [...]

Today has not been a marvelous day and here are all the reasons why.
First of all, I did do one thing today that was great. I finally got up at 5:15, made my way over to Squaw Peak, climbed it, and went to work. It was wonderful. I love Piestewa Peak (Squaw Peak’s new name. [...]

At this moment, reading Star magazine, an article about which celebs have conquered cellulite and which have not, while sipping a noonday beer and chomping goldfish.
Tag teaming naps, Conrad an hour, me an hour. We went to my mother in law’s this morning. Max lives for that visit. He loves going to his grandparents’ places. [...]

I feel terrible. I deceived Max. I told him it was “water day” at school. That’s when they wear their swimsuits and play in the water. He lives for putting on his swimsuit and for water. So much so that he came into our bedroom at 2 a.m. saying “Water day, water day.”
So we take [...]

I truly think that the most dangerous state of mind I can be in is boredom. And oh crap, that’s where I am.
God, I miss being interesting. I’m absolutely dying of boredom. What can I do to be interesting? I’m a reflection of my life and my life is B-O-R-I-N-G. How can anyone so dull [...]
